ILC holds the 2nd batch of Training-Workshops for New Faculty Members in September 2014

In response to the need to offer skills enhancement training program for the newly hired faculty members, the Interactive Learning Center (ILC) of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs holds the 2nd batch of “Training-Workshop on the Development/Application of Interactive Learning Materials”, on four Mondays (dated 8, 15, 22, 29) of September 2014 at the Executive Conference Room, 3rd floor., New Administration Building.
Completion of the said ILC training-workshop is now included as one of the requirements for the newly hired faculty members set by the university. It aims to impart the latest and recent trends on e-learning practices and develop skills and capabilities on the application of alternative tools for teaching and learning among faculty members.
The training-workshops have the following components:

1) Technology and Instruction in Today’s Classroom (8 September 2014, 8:30-5:00 PM)
2) Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment or MOODLE (15 September 2014)
3) Edmodo Social Learning Platform (15 September 2014)
4) Learning Object Development/Packaging (22 September 2014, 8:30-12:00 PM)
5) Alternative Tools for Teaching and Learning (22 September 2014, 1:30-5:00 PM)
6) Individual Presentation of Participant’s Outputs (29 September 2014, 8:30-5:00 PM)

Certificates are given to those who fully completed the four-day training workshops. Completion of a relevant ILC training-workshop on development/ application of interactive learning materials is one of the requisites in the awarding of Grants for the Development of Interactive Instructional Materials (BRPabro).
