OVCAA-ILC opens application for ILO faculty grants

Attention, UPLB faculty members!

The Interactive Learning Center of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA-ILC) is now accepting applicants for the Faculty Grant Awards on developing and producing Interactive Learning Objects (ILO).
An ILO is a collection of content items, practice items and assessment items that are combined based on a single learning concept. It is original, self-contained, re-usable and can be viewed in about 30 minutes.

Fifteen slots are available, with grants amounting to P50,000 per ILO. The ILO should be developed and produced for one year, starting August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2017.
This faculty grant aims to support the University’s evolving paradigm shift in instruction: from knowledge-passing to knowledge-processing; from teacher-centered instruction to student-centered education; and from face-to-face learning to information technology-facilitated learning.
The general information for the eligibility and selection criteria, requirements and obligations of the awardees are articulated in the Memorandum No. 092 issued by the Office of the Chancellor on August 1, 2016.

The guidelines, forms and format of the required attachments are downloadable or can be requested through email at OVCAA ( or ILC ( Interested applicants must submit the required documents in print and e-copies to OVCAA not later than August 31, 2016. (Beverly R. Pabro)
