ILC installs additional learning hubs

For effective utilization and better accessibility of available learning materials to students, the Interactive Learning Center (ILC) starting this First semester 2015-2016 installed interactive learning hubs (ILC Hubs) at the Women’s Dormitory, New Dormitory and at the Learning Resource Center (LRC) in the Student Union Building.

Students residing at the dormitories can now access and view the different lecture materials of various courses deposited by the faculty members at ILC as well as the learning objects on various topics even after office hours and on weekends. Since an increasing number of students are regularly viewing various lecture materials and availing of ILC computer services, the ILC viewing area at the 3rd floor, CAS Annex Building is overloaded at certain times. In March 2013, the first ILC hub was installed at the Learning Commons, basement of the UPLB Main Library. Additional interactive learning kiosks/hubs are planned to be installed in other university/ college/institute libraries and academic buildings.

Interested faculty members who would like to deposit their Power point presentations and lecture materials may visit the ILC Office or call at 536-8689 for inquiries and additional information (BRPabro).
